QR Code Book Review

  1.  Choose a book from the classroom library which you have read and enjoyed.
  2. Follow these link to the website Kidlit and read through some examples of book reviews on the site.    https://kid-lit.net/kids-reviews-grades-6-8.cfm
  3. Write a rough draft of a book review of the the book you have chosen using the following categories:
    1. Title of the book and author
    2. Describe the setting
    3. Tell just enough of the plot to make it interesting but don’t be a spoiler.  Remember you are trying to get someone else to read the book.
    4. Choose one character and explain why you found them interesting.
    5. Rate you book using stars out of 5 and explain why.
  4. Once your rough draft is complete and we have taken time to revise and edit carefully you can copy and paste your book review on to a new post  on your blog.

Non-Fiction

  1. Title of the book and author
  2. What was the author’s purpose in writing the book? Did the author accomplish that purpose?
  3. Who is the target audience for the book?
  4. What do you think is the book’s greatest value? What makes it special or worthwhile? Why did you like it?
  5. Are there extra features that add to the enjoyment of the book, such as maps, indexes, glossaries, or other materials?
  6. Rate you book using stars out of 5 and explain why.
  7. Once your rough draft is complete and we have taken time to revise and edit carefully you can copy and paste your book review on to a new post  on your blog.

To turn your post into a QR code do the following:

  1. Got to your blog-not of the dashboard, but just like anyone would visiting your blog.
  2. Click on the title of your QR Code Blog Post.
  3. Copy the URL from the top of your screen.
  4. Follow the link below and paste you URL into the proper place. http://www.qrstuff.com/
  5. Download your QR Code and print.
  6. Cut it out leaving a small white border around the outside.
  7. Carefully and neatly tape your QR code onto the inside back or front cover.
